Man charged with robbing Pop Shoppe clerk
Salisbury Police have charged Lee Anthony Chatfield, 22, of 734 Apartment J, Ryan St., with common law robbery after a Pop Shoppe clerk was assaulted and robbed Friday of $134.19.
Chatfield’s bond was set at $25,000. The clerk was identified as Christy Briggs.
In another report, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has charged Martha Lilian Arbaiza, 23, of 720 Cooper Road, Salisbury, with habitual impaired driving.
She was stopped for driving while impaired on Bringle Ferry Road March 23. The habitual charge stems from her having been convicted of driving while impaired at least three times within the past 10 years.
Arbaiza had a prior DWI conviction in 2003 and two in 2004.
