If you were an extra in the “Leatherheads” movie, you are being invited to the “Official ‘Leatherheads’ Red Carpet Walk” April 4 at the Camelot theater in Greenville, S.C.
Bobby Brookshire, an extra who labels himself as general chairman of the event, said some 290 extras and their spouses have already indicated an interest in attending. “Leatherheads” is being nationally released April 4.
Brookshire said he came up with the idea of a red carpet walk for the extras while he was on the set of the film in June 2007. Greenville was one of the locations in the Carolinas for filming, in addition to Salisbury, Spencer, Statesville and Charlotte. Cost to attend is $50 per couple.
