The LandTrust for Central North Carolina invites members, friends and the general public to an open house on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the landtrust Salisbury office at 215 Depot St. (the Historic Salisbury Train Depot).
“This is our chance to thank our friends and members for their incredible support in 2007 and let them know about some exciting land conservation projects for 2008,” said Jason Walser, executive director at the land trust. “The land trust conserved over 1,700 acres in 2007. And we’ve conserved over 16,000 acres since our formation in 1995. We hope the public will join us for a celebration of our success in 2007,” adds Walser.
No RSVP is required.
This event is rescheduled from a January date cancelled due to inclement weather.
The land trust is a nonprofit land conservation organization serving 10 counties in the Lower Yadkin/Pee Dee River watershed, including Cabarrus, Rowan, Davidson, Montgomery, Stanly, Davie, Richmond and Anson counties, as well as portions of Iredell and Randolph counties. The organization serves private landowners interested in conservation options for their property.
