Kannapolis Police look for connection between three recent armed robberies

KANNAPOLIS ó Police are investigating three recent armed robberies that occurred on the same street and appear to be related.Drivers for Dominos Pizza, Wing Zone and TJ’s Taxi Service reported two young black men armed with a small handgun confronted them after they were called to Hammock Lane, Detective Lt. Ken Jackson said Wednesday.
No one was injured in the three robberies.Hammock Lane is a short, dead-end street off Concord Lake Road, south of Dale Earnhardt Boulevard.
The first robbery occurred at 10:16 p.m. Friday, when a 44-year-old Dominos driver made a delivery at 1705 Hammock Lane, Jackson said. At 11:12 p.m. Saturday, two young men confronted an employee of Wing Zone delivering food at 1703 Hammock.
Finally, TJ’s Taxi Service reported two men robbed one of its drivers at 2:52 a.m. on Hammock Lane, Jackson said.
Because of the descriptions of the suspects and locations of the incidents, detectives feel the robberies are connected, Jackson said.
