On Tuesday, Kannapolis Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 6:16 a.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 503 Kimball St. five minutes later to find the house in flames.
The fire department responded to the scene with four apparatus vehicles and a total of 22 personnel. Landis Fire Department assisted with a fire engine and five personnel.
The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Damage estimates are reported to be approximately $20,000.
Fire investigators will remain on the scene. The cause is undetermined at this time.
