Kannapolis American Legion Post 115 will host a Memorial Day service at the amphitheater in Kannapolis, Monday at noon.
Special recognition will be given to the service personnel who died during World War II. Their pictures will also be on display. All service men or women from all wars are invited to parade to this service from West C Street at 11:30 a.m.
Guests should bring lawn chairs to help with seating arrangements. After this service, the G.I. House at 905 King St., will be open from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
In case of inclement weather, the program will be held in the Gem Theater.
