The Humane Society of Rowan will receive proceeds from a car wash and cookout scheduled today from noon-3 p.m.
Enterprise Car Rental is hosting the fundraiser at its South Main Street location.
Also, the Society will hold a general meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at Rowan Public Library on East Fisher Street. Those attending the meeting are encouraged to bring a staple food item and/or pet food for a family in need.
