HRL Paddlers to meet Saturday at 9 a.m.
HRL Paddlers will meet Saturday at Dan Nicholas Park, Shelter No. 6, at 9 a.m.
If you’re interested and have a boat, bring it along. A two-hour excursion will follow the meeting.
HRL Paddlers finished traveling the section of Yadkin River from the N.C. 801 access area in Davie County to the Tuckertown Dam.
The next paddle session will focus on kayaking the Yadkin River from Tanglewood to the N.C. 801 access area.
HRL Paddlers is planning a report on “Paddling Tanglewood to Tuckertown” in the next few weeks. This is to provide details on what the average High Rock Lake area paddler needs to know before heading out on the waters. The report will identify current paddling conditions along this stretch of waterway. There will also be a section for suggestions and recommendations, which can be incorporated into any future Blue Way trail plans for Davidson, Davie or Rowan counties.
