Hot dog eaters compete today
Some of America’s most voracious competitive eaters will battle it out at Concord Mills today for a chance to compete in the national hot dog eating contest in Coney Island, N.Y.
Hall “Hoover” Hunt of Jacksonville, Fla., will try to keep his title as N.C. champ and top last year’s 28.5 Nathan’s Famous hot dogs and buns. Pierre “The Real Deal” Abry and C. Todd “Can’t Ya See?” Hennessey are among the other top competitors.
The event is at noon today.
The winner will compete in Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest.
