Could have been worse: East Innes Street was in good shape as the snow was falling Thursday morning. The sidewalks were covered with a thin coat of sleet and snow. Authorities were concerned that roads, refreezing overnight, would have problems with ‘black ice,’ but temperatures remained above freezing all night and the schools were on a normal schedule today.
