At 8 p.m. that evening, South Rowan High School’s 241 seniors received their diplomas in Catawba College’s Keppel Auditorium.
The county’s four remaining high schools are holding commencement exercises in Keppel today, beginning with North Rowan at 9 a.m. The school has 116 students graduating.
At noon today, 290 East Rowan High School seniors are scheduled to receive their diplomas.
Four hours later, West Rowan High School will award diplomas to 267 seniors.
And some 175 Salisbury High seniors will walk across the stage at 8 p.m., the final commencement ceremony for the county.
All told, 1,305 seniors have or are graduating from the Rowan-Salisbury Schools’ seven high schools. Another 56 have already graduated in ceremonies at private schools and homeschools.
