Graduation: Rowan County Homeschool Association

The Rowan County Homeschool Association held commencement exercises for its eight 2008 graduates May 17 at Kannapolis Church of God.Graduating seniors invited someone to speak on their behalf. Guest speakers were Graden Yates, friend of the family for Erica Bridges; Billy A. Honeycutt Jr., pastor of Amanda Burris; Michael Gminder, brother of Brittany Gminder; Denise Raynor, aunt of Caitlin Hughes; Cameron Hamrick, friend of the family for DJ Jinks; Charles Nettles, father of Crystal Nettles; Steve Holshouser, pastor of Christopher Shipwash; and Elaine Trawick, mother of Carly Trawick.
Junior marshals were Hannah Freeze, Sara Beth McGraw and Tara Speaks.
Graduates and their future plans are:
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College: Erica Bridges, Caitlin Hughes and Carly Trawick.
Stamps-Baxter Gospel Music School,Nashville: Amanda Burris this summer, then Rowan-Caburrus Community College.
Undecided: Brittany Gminder, Crystal Nettles, DJ Jinks III and Christopher Shipwash.
