Catawba graduate

Amy S. Stokes received a master of education degree Dec. 14 from Catawba College.

Stokes was a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society at Catawba.

A 1985 graduate of St. Mary’s College, she received a bachelor of science degree in child development from Appalachian State University in Boone in 1989.

She was National Board certified as an Early Childhood Generalist in 2003. She has worked for Rowan-Salisbury Schools for 17 years and currently teaches first grade at Granite Quarry Elementary School.

She and husband Glenn live in Salisbury and have two children, Will and Grace.

Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul S. Smith of Salisbury.

Catawba graduate

Cindy Smith Key graduated Dec. 15 from Catawba College with a bachelor of business administration.

A 1987 graduate of South Rowan High School, Key is administrative assistant for Fork Baptist Church in Mocksville.

She and husband Eddie live in Salisbury and have two children, Amanda and Kendra. Her parents are Bill and Dot Smith of Kannapolis.

UNC-Charlotte grad

Jenna Crowell is a Dec. 16 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She received a bachelor’s degree in middle grades education with concentrations in mathematics and social studies.

A 2002 graduate of South Rowan High School, she is the daughter of Ed Crowell Jr. of China Grove and the late Judy Goodman Crowell.
