Rockette graduates magna cum laude
Toni Rockette of Salisbury is a Dec. 18, 2008, magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
She received a bachelor of science degree in exercise and sport science with concentrations in physical education and community and youth sports development. She also received a minor in coaching.
Rockette received the Betsy Umstead Scholarship, the Karen Lux Scholarship and the PE Class of “75 Hielscher Scholarship.
A dean’s list and chancellor’s list student, she is a lifetime member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honors Society, where she has been president, vice president and fundraising chair.
A 2004 graduate of East Rowan High School, she is the daughter of Ryan and Jane Rockette of Salisbury.
Rockette is assistant athletic director at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in Kernersville and is pursuing a master’s degree in adapted physical education.
Stout earns degree from N.C. State
Ryan Allen Stout of Mount Ulla graduated Dec. 18, 2008, from the N.C. State Agri-Institute with a degree in agri-business management and turfgrass management.
The son of Mark and Sharon Stout of Mount Ulla, he is a 2004 graduate of West Rowan High School and is employed by Stout Heating and Air.
At N.C. State, he was a member of Farmhouse Fraternity.
