N.C. State graduate
Jennifer Zurney received a doctor of philosophy degree in microbiology July 1 from N.C. State University in Raleigh.
A 1999 graduate of East Rowan High School, she received a bachelor of science degree in microbiology from NCSU in 2003.
Her parents are Rocky and Darlene Eller of Salisbury.
