Rain delays benefit for firefighters’ families
Saturday’s rain forced organizers to postpone a golf tournament to benefit the families of fallen firefighters Justin Monroe and Victor Isler.
Crescent Golf Club has rescheduled the event for April 18, a Friday, at 1 p.m.
To participate, contact Jason Kemp at 704-647-0025 or jason.kemp@pga.com.
Cost to take part in the benefit tournament is $45 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch and prizes.
More than 125 people signed up for the tournament that was to have been held Saturday.
Monroe and Isler died March 7 fighting a fire at Salisbury Millwork.
