Golf tournament fundraiser is May 17 at Crescent

A golf tournament to raise funds for First United Methodist Church’s upcoming mission trip to Guatemala will be held at The Crescent Golf Club in Salisbury Saturday, May 17. The event starts at 9 a.m.
The cost for each team of four is $280. A hole may be sponsored for $100.
Lunch is provided, and door prizes will be awarded.
The mission trip ó the church’s seventh to Guatemala ó is July 5-13. This year’s team will consist of 23 adults and 12 youth.
The team will work on a construction project, conduct children’s Christian education and activities and provide medical services to villages in the mountain regions of Xela.
FUMC Guatemala teams have provided medical treatment to nearly 6,000 patients, dispensed more than 10,000 prescriptions and distributed 3,000 pounds of food.
Part of the outreach includes the distribution of toys, clothing, shoes and eyeglasses.
