Cooperative Extension in Rowan County is sponsoring a Small Fruits Production Workshop, Thursday, March 6, at the Agricultural Center on Old Concord Road in Salisbury.
N.C. State University Extension small fruits specialists Bill Cline and Connie Fisk, along with extension agents Mary Helen Ferguson and Amy-Lynn Albertson will be presenting cultural information on blueberry, bramble and grape production.
This is a multi-county workshop designed primarily for those contemplating pick-your-own operations or those interested in producing fresh market fruit for farmer’s markets, but the workshop is open to the general public.
The workshop at the Agricultural Center is 9 a.m. to noon and will resume at 1:30 p.m. with an optional blueberry on-farm pruning demonstration.
