The Park Avenue Redevelopment Corp. is providing volunteers for free preparation of state and federal income tax returns from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday.
Returns are prepared for free for people with yearly incomes of $40,000 or less.
The service will be offered at the Park Avenue Community Center, 632 Park Ave., through April 12.

Lou Manning, director for the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site, said the program prepared 38 tax returns in a limited time last year, leading to $25,453 that was put back into the pockets of Salisbury residents.
Volunteers this year already have prepared more returns in two Saturdays than they did all of last year, Manning said.
Tax refunds will either be direct-deposited within 10 days into a participant’s bank account or mailed directly to the person within 14 days.
The service is free whether a person is due a refund or owes additional taxes.
