Firefighters from four departments responded to a fire in a singlewide mobile home at 5675 Faith Road.
The report of the fire came in to the E-911 system shortly before 9:30 Friday night. Initial reports indicated a fire under the mobile home.
Firefighters found smoke pouring from under the structure when they arrived and went about identifying and extinguishing hot spots.
Due to the freezing temperatures, the N.C. Department of Transportation was called to spread sand over the ice that accumulated on Faith Road from the water used to extinguish the fire.
