The staff of the Rowan County Senior Services Department is accepting referrals from public service agencies for person 60 or older who need fans.
This Department of Aging project, made possible in part by a contribution from Duke Energy, provides heat relief to those for whom high temperatures present a health threat, according to Clyde Fahnestock, director.
Priority will be given to low income individuals.
