Faithful Friends upcoming events

Upcoming events to raise money for the Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary include:
– Saturday, July 12 – Second annual Faith and Spencer Jaycees Poker Run: Hogs for Dogs. Registration from 11 a.m.-noon at Lone Star Steakhouse on Faith Road in Salisbury. Fee, $15 per rider. Last bike out at noon.
Dinner, 5 p.m. at the clubhouse. Prize of $100 for the best hand, plenty of door prizes. Also, a 50/50 drawing, must be present to win.
The band, Southern Breeze, will be playing at clubhouse. Rain date is Saturday, July 19.

– Saturday, Aug. 2 – Puppy Portraits at J.F. Hurley Family YMCA, 8 a.m.-noon. Dogs only please. They must be kept on a leash and current on shots. No aggressive dogs or dogs in heat.

– Saturday, Aug. 9 – Dog Days Luncheon at Carolina Lily.
– Saturday, Sept. 20 – Paws in the Park Dog Walk Fundraiser sponsored by the Land Trust and SURGE. Benefits go to Faithful Friends and the Land Trust.
– November, date to be announced – Fundraiser luncheon at Outback Steakhouse, Salisbury; Santa Paws Pet Photos at the Green Goat Gallery in Spencer.
– Saturday, March 7, 2009- Silent auction at F&M Trolley Barn. Food, music, treasures.
