Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary meeting Thursday night

Guest speaker Patsy Beeker will talk about animal hoarding at Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary’s general membership meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday night at the Rowan County Agriculture Building, 2727 Old Concord Road.
Beeker founded Cabarrus CARES and Kitty City humane education center in Concord. She serves on the Cabarrus County Commissioners Task Force for Animal Welfare. For more information, see www.cabarrus-cares.org
On Aug. 9, Carolina Lily is hosting a lunch for Faithful Friends, and a Pooch Parade from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hap’s Hot Dogs will be on hand, and everyone who brings a bag of pet food, gets a free hot dog.
Donated leashes and collars are good for a brownie and iced tea.
The Pooch Parade starts at 12:30 p.m. Entry fee is $5, and prizes will be awarded.
