Eve Carson, UNC student, killed by shotgun

CHAPEL HILL (AP) ó The slain student body president at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was shot several times, including a blast to her head from a shotgun.
The Office of the State Medical Examiner on Monday released the 13-page report on the death of Eve Carson. The 22-year-old from Athens, Ga., was found dead March 5 on a street not far from the universityís campus.
The report details the ěmultiple gunshot woundsî it lists as Carsonís cause of death. It said she was likely shot once with a shotgun, a blast that stuck her right temple and right hand. The report also said Carson was shot four other times.
Prosecutors have charged two Durham men with murder in Carsonís death: 17-year-old Laurence Lovette and 22-year-old Demario Atwater.
