All-State cheerleaders
Three Rowan County cheerleaders were have been selected as All-State Cheerleaders by the N.C. Cheerleading Coaches’ Association.
They are Whitney Corriher and Sydney Humphrey, both juniors at West Rowan High School, and Ashley Wagoner, a senior at East Rowan High School.
High School cheerleaders throughout North Carolina who had been selected by the association as All-Region Cheerleaders were eligible to for the All-State tryouts. Selections were based on skill levels such as tumbling, stunting, jumps and motion and dance sequences.
The All-State squad will perform and appear at events connected with the East/West All-Star basketball and football games July 19-23.
