Scholarship luncheon
The 33 Tom Smith Scholarship recipients at Catawba College were recently honored in Cannon Student Center.
Local recipients include Mayra I. Arroyo of Kannapolis, Derek Freeze and Bryson S. Nesbitt of China Grove, Nick Kalogeromitros of Rockwell, Caitlyn M. Masingo of Mount Ulla, Thomas A. Readling and Timothy J. Readling of Salisbury and Vang Neng Thao of Spencer.
Enochville Wise Owls
Enochville Elementary School recently selected the following students as Wise Owls for September for consistently exhibiting good citizenship, good manners and exceptional behavior:
Kindergarten: Kelsey Hall, Nathaniel Adcock, Isabelle Campbell, Landon Wright, Shelby Walters, Joshua Carver, Raychel Harrity and Landon Litaker.
First grade: Bailey Adcock, Harrison Ward, Timothy Broadway, Carissa Parks, Jordan Childers and Alyssa Alvarnas.
Second grade: Todd Stephens, Alexis Litaker, Camden Cohick, Maria Perez, Raven Brady and Blaise Bumgarner.
Third grade: Kristen Compton, Cameron Williams, Sarah Hildreth , Clayton Biggerstaff, MacKenzie Fornshell and James Milstead.
