Education: Rowan-Cabarrus Community College accepting students for biotechnology class

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is accepting students for an upcoming class of the “BioWork” biotechnology that will meet Aug. 25-Dec. 17 on Mondays and Wednesday from 6-10 p.m.
The 132-hour introductory course covers the basics of manufacturing technology and the fundamentals of science and gives a broad overview of the biotechnology industry.
Pre-registration and a career readiness assessment are both required. Registration fee is $65. Students must also have a high school diploma or GED and basic computer literacy.
Classes will meet at the Cabarrus Business & Technology Center, 660 Concord Parkway North, Concord.
