Education New staff members at Catawba introduced at fall conference

Catawba College faculty and staff members hired since the start of the last academic year were introduced at the college’s recent fall conference.
They include faculty members Dr. Bonita Bloodworth, assistant director of the Academy for Teaching and assistant professor of teacher education; Dr. Douglas K. Brown, associate professor of mathematics; Dr. Sue Calcagni, associate professor of biology and environmental science; Amy Hrinsin, instructor of accounting; and Dr. Margaret Stahr, assistant professor of English and director of the Writing Center.
New staff include Susan Houston, administrative assistant in the Department of Mathematics and the Ketner School of Business; Cecilia Stach, chief administrative assistant in the Ketner School of Business; Ann Clifton, administrative assistant for academic development; Amanda Hooker, administrative assistant in the Center for the Environment; Erin Harper, staff keyboardist in the Music Department; Christy Clifton, financial aid counselor and work study coordinator; Jeff Applewhite and Beth Buford, admissions counselors; Eddie Cross, public safety officer; Lesley Hill, assistant director of resident life and coordinator of campus programming; Stephanie Flowe, Lorraine Grissom, Mike Brackett, Benny Fellows and Vickie Poole, housekeeping; Sara McCauley, athletic training intern; Kim Crowley, part-time assistant coach, women’s soccer; Sara Van Buskirk, student graduate assistant, softball; Heather Kick, student graduate assistant, field hockey; Steve Sawyer, assistant coach, baseball; and Michael Lowman, part-time assistant coach, baseball.
