Credit Union award
Eden S. Lipe of Kannapolis has been presented the 2008 Southern Select Community Credit Union Scholarship.
Lipe, a homeschooled student through Footprints Academy, is the daughter of Todd and Michelle Lipe.
She plans to pursue an associate degree in nursing this fall at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
She has also studied piano and dance, been active in the 4-H Club locally and at the county level, served on the Mayor’s Youth Council and volunteered with her church and community organizations including Jackson Park Baptist Church Youth and Choir, Life Corps, Girl Scouts, Salvation Army, Operation Christmas Child and CMC-NorthEast’s junior volunteer program. She is employed by MacDonald’s.
