Caroline Parrott wins Hurley spelling bee
The Hurley Elementary School 2008 Spelling Bee was held Dec. 10. Caroline Parrott was the school’s spelling bee winner, and Holly Beaver was the runner-up.
Other fifth-grade students who represented their classrooms in the bee were Holly Beaver, Matt Collins, Miranda Dange, Kenyatta Holmes, Caroline Parrott, Bria Sherrill, Alex Summers, Mimi Webb, Alex Yang, John Yang.
Caroline will represent Hurley in the Rowan-Salisbury Spelling Bee on Feb. 5.
