The Ralph W. Ketner School of Business will hold its inaugural Distinguished CEO Lecture Series, featuring Bob Ingram, vice president of pharmaceuticals at GlaxoSmithKline, at 4 p.m. April 1 in Peeler Crystal Lounge in the Robertson College-Community Center on the Catawba College campus.
Musical entertainment will begin at 3:45 p.m., followed by a reception at 5 p.m.
Ingram is an internationally known leader in the pharmaceutical industry and other aspects of health care. He was asked by former U. S. President George H. W. Bush to organize and chair the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, and he currently serves as chairman of the board of trustees of the American Cancer Society Foundation. He was appointed by President George W. Bush to the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Advisory Board.
He also serves on a number of corporate boards of directors, including Lowe’s Companies, Wachovia Corp., Edwards Lifesciences Corp. and Allergan Inc. He is also chairman of the GlaxoSmithKline Foundation.
He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
