Duke graduate
Scott Coggins Ryan is a May 10 magna cum laude graduate of Duke University in Durham, where he received a master of divinity degree.
Ryan is also the recipient of the Excellence in Bible Award.
A 1999 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, he received a bachelor of arts degree in religious studies from Gardner-Webb University in 2003.
His parents are Mike and Kathy C. Anderson of Salisbury and Robert Lamont Ryan of Spencer.
