Dental surgery degree
Travis Martin Hicks is a May 11 honor graduate of the University of North Carolina School Dentistry in Chapel Hill. He received the degree of doctor of dental surgery.
A 2000 graduate of East Rowan High School, Hicks graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University in 2004.
He plans to begin working with Gastonia Family Health Services in June and pursue a degree in pediatric dentistry in the fall of 2009.
His parents are Ty and Beverly Smith of Salisbury and John Hicks of Charlotte.
