Correction
Figures in a story Tuesday about the proposed Salisbury annexation of the N.C. 150 west area were used incorrectly. The city’s estimated annual cost for services is $1.1 million. The city’s estimated initial cost for extending water and sewer is $4.4 million. An analysis of the annexation report Louis Smith, retired general manager of HBD Industries, presented to county commissioners puts the initial cost of providing sewer and water to the area at $36.1 million.
