CONCORD ó The city has begun refurbishing older sewer mains within the city. The project is expected to take four weeks and will involve 7,459 feet of pipes.
The refurbishing project involves relining old pipes with a polyurethane resin material. This process allows the pipes to be replaced without digging up roadways and land and completely replacing the old mains causing minimum disturbance to traffic and homeowners/businesses.
Citizens who will be affected by the project will be notified by placing door hangers with information at the home 24 hours prior to its start. Residents will be asked to limit their water use during the project.
If you need more information about the project call the Aaron Cook with the Wastewater Resources Department at 704-920-5300.
