CONCORD ó Concord police officers are investigating the shooting death of a 27-year-old Concord man whose body was discovered Sunday night.
The department reported receiving a call at 11:35 p.m. Sunday “to respond to 1117 Samuel Adams Circle in reference to a possible assault.”
Officers found the body of Tony Dorsett Smith, who lived at the address.
“The victim died from an apparent gunshot wound,” according to a Police Department press release.
Deputy Chief Guy Smith said a friend went by to visit Smith, knocked on the door and the door came open. The friend went inside, saw that Smith was hurt and called 911.
Concord Police haven’t arrested anyone in connection with the case, Smith said.
