CONCORD ó The Concord Police Department is seeking the identity of a man who sexually assaulted a juvenile in the men’s restroom at Wal-Mart at 2420 Supercenter Drive.
This assault occurred Sunday around 7:15 p.m. The boy was in a stall when a man crawled under the door and made inappropriate contact with him. The child was not physically injured, a press release said.
Surveillance system photos depict two white men arriving in a purple-colored Honda Odyssey van. The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 45 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 220 to 240 pounds and wearing a black ball cap with a white Celtic cross emblem on the front of the ball cap.
He is wearing a burgundy polo-style shirt, black dress pants and tan-colored shoes.
The photos show the suspect was accompanied by another white male wearing a flowered shirt.
After entering the store, the suspect went to the restroom and the man wearing the flowered shirt began shopping. At this time, Concord Police do not believe that the man wearing the flowered shirt was involved in the incident.
Investigators ask anyone with information about the identity of either one of these men to call Cabarrus Area Crime Stoppers at 704-932-7463 or the Concord Police Department at 704-920-5000.
