A Concord teen was shot to death late Thursday while visiting friends, according to police.

Kari Terrell Foskey, 17, of 278 Fink Ave. NW was found dead in the vicinity of Crowell Drive near Kerr Street around 10:30 p.m.

Concord police officers responded to 265 Crowell Drive NW after someone called 911.

The shooting occurred outside the residence, the press release said.

The investigation is continuing.
