Concord CFCU robbed; suspect at large

CONCORD — A lone man, making no attempt to hide his face, robbed the Coastal Federal Credit Union in Concord this afternoon.

The credit union at 970 Branchview Drive alerted Concord police to the robbery at at 2:15 p.m.

Coastal Federal employees said the suspect is African-American, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was dressed in a red T-shirt, black ball cap and black colored pants.

He entered the credit union, approached the teller and demanded money. No weapon was presented, and no one was injured at the business.

The robber left on foot with an undisclosed amount of currency.
