Clarification- Only 24 of some 60 spaces at the rear of the Empire Hotel building are designated for use by First United Methodist Church. A story in Tuesday’s Post gave the impression that the church uses all of the spaces. The church pays several thousand dollars a year to rent those 24 parking spaces.
