Cause of 5-year-old's death and mother's hospitalization still under investigation

A mother whose 13-year-old son called 911 to report his brother’s death is in good condition Thursday, hospital officials say.
Robin Lee, 45, was found in her 4121 Lower Stone Church Road home in respiratory distress.
Hospital Spokesman Lee Brower confirmed the mother’s condition on Thursday.
Lee’s son called for help Monday, saying his mother was unresponsive and his 5-year-old brother, Phillip Lee, was dead.First responders from Rimer Fire Department arrived at the home at 1:58 p.m along with Cabarrus Sheriff’s deputies and Emergency Medical Service personnel.
Phillip Lee was found in his bed. An autopsy is being performed to determine a cause of death.
Robin Lee and her 13-year-old son were taken to Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.
Cabarrus Sheriff’s officials have not released any additional information.
An official with Rimer Fire Department said they were instructed not to discuss the matter since it is still under investigation.
