Mike Fuller was elected president of the Community Care Clinic of Rowan County at the annual meeting of its Jan. 11 Board of Directors.

Other officers elected include Sue P. Fisher, vice president; Valarie Stewart, secretary; and Guy Hoskins, treasurer.

Outgoing members Gary Fink, Sheila Mulkey, Jim Mitchell and Beth Woodson were recognized and thanked by Connie Antosek, executive director, who also welcomed new members Tom Loeblein, Robert Ogden, Edwina Ritchie and Shully Storey.

Returning Board members are Reid Acree, Debbie Carter, Suzie Dinse, Chuck Elliott, Joyce Goodwin, Richard Huffman, Reid Leonard, Julie Lippard, Mary Ponds and Ronnie Smith.

Ex-Officio members are Susan Kluttz and Arnold Chamberlain.

Antosek reported that more than 26,500 residents have received services since the clinic opened in 1996.

It continues to operate through the use of volunteers and donations from the community to provide free medical, dental and pharmacy services to the uninsured, low income residents of Rowan County.
