CONCORD — Cannon School will host the largest camp fair for the north side of Charlotte on Jan. 17.

Convenient to families in northern Mecklenburg, Iredell and Cabarrus counties, the camp fair reaches not only the Cannon School community but far beyond, offering families in the north Charlotte region the opportunity to learn more about summer programs from Lake Wylie, S.C., to the mountains of western North Carolina.

“The Camp Fair offers busy parents a simple way to plan a fun summer for their children,” says Brian Scales, Cannon School’s director of development. “There is no other opportunity like this for communities on the north side of Charlotte.”

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Blue Gym on Cannon School’s Concord campus. Throughout the event, parents will be able to ask questions one-on-one with camp representatives and take home program literature. They can learn about possible scholarship opportunities offered by various camps to help with costs.

Cannon School is on Poplar Tent Road near the Cabarrus/Mecklenburg county line.
