All candidates for the board have been invited to participate in an April 8 forum at Catawba College’s Peeler Crystal Lounge. Sponsors are the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce, Catawba and the Salisbury Post.
The Post is gathering questions to be put to the candidates by moderator Dr. Michael Bitzer, Catawba’s dean of admissions and political science professor.
Democratic candidates will field questions from 6 to 7 p.m. After a 15-minute break, Republicans will take questions from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.Send your questions in one of these ways:

In all, 13 candidates are running for the two county commissioner seats now held by Arnold Chamberlain and Jim Sides. Chamberlain is not seeking re-election. The primary is May 6.
