Bruce Miller files for Soil and Water Conservation District

Bruce Miller, a retired agriculture teacher, has filed for re-election as a supervisor for the Rowan County Soil and Water Conservation District.
Miller, 60, of Miller Road, has served on the board since 2000.
One seat will be filled in the November election. Filing will end at noon on Monday, July 7 for the non-partisan position.
A farmer, Miller worked as an agriculture teacher at South Rowan High School for many years.
Miller said he is seeking another four-year term because he enjoys working on environmental issues on the local, state and national levels.
He noted that he is particularly interested in educating the public on the wise use of natural resources and working to enhance the quality of life in Rowan County.
Miller is a graduate of N.C. State University.
A member of Grace Lutheran Church, he is also a member of the South Rowan Y Services Club, the Rowan Public Library Foundation Board and the N.C. Envirothon.
