– Five goats were stolen from a China Grove field Jan. 26 or 27, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department.
Robert Lee Morrison III discovered the theft of four nannies and one billy goat from his 5385 W. N.C. 152 property and reported it Jan. 31. The animals are valued at $300.
– Ashley Nicole Loflin, 21, 1030 Julian Road, was charged Jan. 31 with simple assault in Cabarrus County. Trial date is Feb. 28 in Cabarrus District Court.
– Gina Renee Loflin, 18, 1030 Julian Road, was charged Feb. 2 with assault inflicting serious injury. Trial date is Feb. 28 in Cabarrus District Court.
– Chris Garland McCoy, 32, and Crustal Shaw McCoy, 31, both of 115 Rockwood Drive, were charged Jan. 31 with three counts of violating the compulsory school attendance law. Trial date is Feb. 28.
– Patty Ann Melton, 29, 175 Hollar Way, was charged Feb. 2 with domestic criminal trespassing.
– Clarence Roscoe Miller Jr., 50, 875 Zion Church Road, Gold Hill, was charged Feb. 1 with felony conversion, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and felony obtaining property by false pretense. He was released on a written promise to appear in court Feb. 7.
– Mickey Joseph Miller, 23, 155 Lyerly Pond Road, was charged Feb 2 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Randi Dawn Miller, 2470 Lower Palmer Road.
– Clifton Ruashon Redmon, 28, 175 Hollar Way, was charged Feb. 2 with simple assault.
– Angel L. Robinson, 17, 413 Candlewick Drive, was charged Feb. 2 with felony financial transaction card fraud. She was held under $2,500 secured bond.
– Terry Michael Webb, 42, 955 Mount Vernon Road, Woodleaf, was charged Jan. 31 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Ashley McClain. He was released on a written promise to appear in court Feb. 28.
– Tammy Sue Yost, 44, 923 China Grove Highway, No. E3, Rockwell, was charged Jan. 30 with a compulsory school attendance law violation. Trial date is Feb. 25.
– Lena Angel Wall, 27, 307 Pearl St., was charged Feb. 2 with five counts of felony larceny of a firearm. She was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– John Ray Morgan, 2345 E. N.C. 152, China Grove, reported vandals sprayed black paint and deflated the tires on his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of Jan. 30. Total loss was $5,500.
– Danna W. Llewellyn reported vandals threw a brick Jan. 31 through a window at Starship Engineering, 5350 U.S. 601. Damage totaled $400.
– Henry Carl Smith of Advance reported wiring and other items removed and walls and windows damaged at a vacant house at 611 Peeler Road between Nov. 2, 2007 and Jan. 30. Total loss was $23,900.
– Meghan Anne Cox reported Jan. 31 that personal items valued at $2,710 had been removed from a house at 318 Hurst Drive that had burned down Jan. 29.
– Misty Burleson reported a tool box and CD player stolen after someone broke into her vehicle while it was parked at 12200 U.S. 52, Rockwell, the night of Jan. 30. Total loss was$1,000.
– Shirley Ann Deal, 6230 E. N.C. 152, reported the registration plate stolen off her vehicle while it was parked at her home Jan. 30.
– Tammy Louise Mowery, 42, 508 Cal Miller Road, Rockwell, was charged Jan. 31 with resisting a public officer. She was released on a written promise to appear in court Feb. 28.
– Brenda Delois Steele, 3635 Pine Tree Place, reported the registration plate stolen off her vehicle while it was parked at her home between Jan. 29 and 31.
– Joshua Grissett, 16, 465 Windy Hill Drive, was charged Jan. 31 with possession of a weapon on a school campus, West Rowan High School. Trial date is April 23.
– David A. Smith Jr., 50, 2045 Crescent Road, was charged Feb. 2 with felony possession of stolen goods. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Stanley Lee Myers, 5275 Long Ferry Road, reported a vehicle he planned to restore was stolen Feb. 1 from his property.
– Denise Dishman Ervin of Mooresville reported Feb. 1 that someone had fraudulently obtained three credit cards in her name.
– Alejandrina Ramos of Kannapolis reported her purse was stolen after someone broke into her truck while it was parked at 6055 E. N.C. 152, Rockwell, Feb. 1. Total loss was $105.
– Robert Scott Curlee of Salisbury reported a CD player and CDs stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at 6055 E. N.C. 152, Rockwell, Feb. 1. Total loss was $330.
– Chance Dewayne Freiman, 26, 355 Happy Lake Road, Rockwell, was charged Feb. 1 with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance and resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer at 2003 Hamblin Court, Kannapolis. He was held under $5,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Carlos Ordonez, 6695 Turkey Road, Kannapolis, reported Feb. 1 that a transmission was removed from the property without permission.
