Blotter: Air conditioning units stolen from home

The person who stole two air conditioning units from a local man’s home must be getting ready for summer.
Wynn Craig Pinkston, 6750 Long Branch Road, told Rowan County Sheriff’s deputies the two units, valued at $1,500 each, were stolen from his home between April 26 and May 11.
In other Sheriff’s Office reports:
– Barbara Jordan Wilkerson of China Grove reported she had been a victim of fraud between Dec. 26, 2007, and March 24.
– Randy G. Page, 1000 Long Creek Lane, reported $2,000 worth of items stolen during a burglary at his home between May 9 and 13.
– Diane Shiela Garrish, 165 Four Lakes Drive, Cleveland, reported prescription medication was stolen from her mailbox May 10.
– Micheal Leon Phelps reported someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked at East Rowan High School, 175 St. Luke’s Church Road, May 13 and stole items valued at $271.
– Sandra Lee Roseman, 5421 Old Mocksville Road, reported medication valued at $1,350 was stolen from her pocketbook at her home April 28 or 29.
– Terry Roger Aikens, 7150 U.S. 601, reported a $180 push mower stolen from his home May 13.
– Ricky S. Brown of Spencer reported an aluminum boat and fishing equipment stolen from 275 Shore Acres Road between May 8 and 12.
– Mark Robert Dilts, 125 Deer Road, reported a $130 bicycle stolen from his property the night of May 13.
– Alana N. Shuping, 18, was charged May 14 with possessing weapons on school grounds at East Rowan High School, 175 St. Luke’s Church Road.
– Carlos Garces reported tools stolen and about 500 feet of wire cut from the walls of a house under construction at 137 Stafford Estates the night of May 13. Total loss was $778.
