Burglar attempting break-in at Kountry Market scared off by alarm

A burglar tried to break into Kountry Market, 12955 Bringle Ferry Road, Richfield, Jan. 10, but apparently was scared away when an alarm was activated.

In other Sheriff’s Office reports:

* Timmie Ford Jr., 41, 713 S. Valley St., Landis, was charged Jan. 14 with possession of a firearm by a felon. He was held under $2,500 secured bond pending a Jan. 17 first appearance in court.

* Jesse Ray Bouldin, 25, 139 N.C. 801, Woodleaf, was charged Jan. 11 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Amanda Bouldin, 2245 Steele Road, Cleveland. He was held pending a Jan. 12 bond hearing.

* Darry Alan Williams, 3020 W. Innes St., reported the theft of $525 worth of stereo equipment from the trunk of his vehicle while it was parked at his home Jan. 11. There was also $300 damage to the trunk lock.

* Charles Stanley Bangert Jr., 27, 725 Lillian Circle, was charged Jan. 11 with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle based on a complaint by Stephanie Darlene Clark, 290 Mendenhall Road. He was held under $500 secured bond pending a Feb. 22 trial date.

* Charles Edward Spainhour, 155 Rock Olive Drive, Rockwell, reported an unknown man was looking into mailboxes along Rock Olive Drive Jan. 10.

* Johnny Jeremiah Castor, 52, 11 White Oak Circle, was charged Jan. 11 with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny after breaking and entering. He was held under $2,500 secured bond pending a Jan. 16 first appearance in court.

* A juvenile was charged Jan. 11 with disorderly conduct at West Rowan Middle School, 5925 Statesville Blvd.

* Tuleika Irene Ramseur, 19, 424 Royal St., Spencer, was charged Jan. 11 with second-degree trespassing and misdemeanor larceny. She was held under $500 secured bond pending a Feb. 6 trial date.

* Lorie Hoover, 935 Coley Road, reported her 1998 Honda Civic was stolen from her driveway the night of Jan. 7. The vehicle is valued at $3,500.

* Kristina Marie Harmon, 2240 Kendra Drive, Kannapolis, reported a burglar entered her home through an open door Jan. 8.

* Robert Earl Cooper, 53, 2025 Grace Church Road, was charged Jan. 8 with resisting delaying and obstructing a public officer. He was held under $300 secured bond pending a Feb. 20 trial date.

* Wayne Mitchell Anderson, 319 Gaddy St., Kannapolis, reported a $145 mountain bike stolen from his porch Jan. 8.

* Cedric Forest Fleming, 10525 Old Concord Road, China Grove, reported vandals caused $10 damage to his mailbox Jan. 8.

* Dwight Bethel Burgess, 44, 540 Peeler Road, was charged Jan. 8 with simple assault based on a complaint by Andrew Sifford, 410 Blue Heron Road. Trial date is Feb. 15.

* Floyd Robert Haizlip Jr., 24, 241 Parsons St., Danville, Va., was charged Jan. 9 following a traffic stop on Julian Road with possession of less than ć ounce of marijuana, resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer, driving while impaired, transporting an open container, driving left of center and improper use of a lane. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a Feb. 20 trial date.

* Ashley Nicole Griffin of Cheeseman’s General Store, 9805 Old Beatty Ford Road, Rockwell, reported the Jan. 8 theft of cigarettes valued at $65.

* Tina Tucker Castilo, 31, 475 Harris Point Road, was charged Jan. 9 with communicating threats based on a complaint by Trudy Lynn Nance, 1640 Deer Creek Drive. Trial date is Feb. 15.

* Kimberly Dawne Burton, 18, 407 John St., Apt. 3, China Grove, was charged Jan. 9 with second-degree trespassing and simple assault based on a complaint by Maria De Los Angeles Delgado, 310 Chevy Ave. Trial date is Feb. 15.

* Kirby Roy Dill 6323 Old Beatty Ford Road, Rockwell, reported a welder and helmet stolen from his carport between Dec. 30 and Jan. 9. Total loss was $300.

* Mark Anthony Almeida, 745 Stone Road, reported his $15,000 white work van was stolen from his driveway Dec. 21.

* Kenneth Vaughn Howell, 645 Millbridge Road, China Grove, reported an $1,800 trailer he was buying from Michael William Tanner of Mooresville was stolen from his driveway Jan. 9.

* Anthony Lane Huffman, 1029 Amber Court, China Grove, reported the Jan. 5 theft of an $1,800 floor sander from his property.

* Brenda Sue Ward, 47, 620 W. Park Drive, Rockwell, was charged Jan. 9 with resisting, obstructing and delaying an officer by giving him false information during an investigation. She was held under $300 secured bond pending a Feb. 1 trial date.

* Paul Beckham of P&T Enterprises, 11716 Bringle Ferry Road, reported items valued at $800 were stolen from the business during a burglary between Jan. 6 and 8.

* A juvenile was charged Jan. 8 with disorderly conduct and resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer at West Rowan Middle School, 5925 Statesville Blvd.

* A juvenile was charged Jan. 8 with communicating threats and possessing and concealing a weapon, a knife, at Southeast Middle School, 1570 Peeler Road.

* Allen Lee Mitchem of Advance reported vandals caused $620 damage to an empty residence at 125 Four Lake Drive, Cleveland, owned by Spillman Home and Land Sales of Cooleemee. The incident occurred between Jan. 6 and 9.

* Tabatha Angell Odle, 38, 1060 Raven Court, Cleveland, was charged Jan. 10 with misdemeanor larceny based on a complaint by Susan Goodman, 250 Godbey Road. Odle was held under $500 secured bond pending a March 22 trial date.

* Clifton Ray Suthpin, 28, 225 Fleming Road, was charged Jan. 10 with violating a domestic violence protective order based on a complaint by Christy Ann Love. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Jan. 25.

* A juvenile was charged Jan. 10 with communicating threats based on a complaint by Trudy Lynn York of Salisbury. The incident occurred in the roadway at 475 Harris Point Road.

* Shawn Miguel Clark, 33, 220 Neely Town Road, China Grove, was charged Jan. 11 with possession of less than ć ounce of marijuana and driving while license revoked following a vehicle stop. He was released on a written promise to appear in court Feb. 23.
