Bingler earns Eagle Scout

Richard Scott “Richie” Bingler, grandson of Jim and Anne Wilson of Salisbury, received his Eagle Scout Award Feb. 23 at Back Creek ARP, Charlotte.
Chris Wampler, Scoutmaster of Pack 49, sponsored by Back Creek, made the presentation.
Bingler, 17, the son of Scott and Julie Lentz Bingler of Harrisburg, is a senior at Central Cabarrus High School. He has earned 30 merit badges, the Order of the Arrow, Arrow of Light, God and Country, Miter, Lifeguard and World Conservation awards.
A junior firefighter at Flowe’s Creek Volunteer Fire Department, his Eagle Scout project was to repair and paint the barn at Back Creek church. He will attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the fall.
