Badin triathlon supports Charlotte Rescue Mission
Badin helps Charlotte Rescue Mission
The Historic Badin Triathlon on June 7 will raise money for the Charlotte Rescue Mission, a 120-day recovery program for men and women overcoming drug and alcohol addictions.
The triathlon begins at 8 a.m. on that Saturday, and Rescue Mission officials say they more competitors.
“The gracious town of Badin is giving of its time, scenic historical amenities and small town hospitality,” Rescue Mission officials said. The event begins with a 750-meter swim, starting at the boat landing, followed by 11.4 miles of cycling and a 5-kilometer run. The town of Badin has four large events per year to promote the city and this will be its second for 2008.
